Fairy House Workshop

Create your own fairy house. Make your house out of natural materials like wood, bark, seed pods, shells, pinecones, pebbles, grasses, dried flowers, shelf fungus, moss- all kinds of natural materials.  Bring a parent/adult assistant so you can both work together to design and build your house.  And just maybe when you’re done a fairy may come for tea or even move in!

And while lots of materials will be provided, don’t forget to bring lots of special bits and pieces that you collect yourself- pieces of bark for your house walls (birch bark, gnarly bark from old tree stumps), pine cones-large and small, shells from a trip or a small interesting stones, feathers, some driftwood or beach glass for windows.  Use your imagination and when you go on walks or help in the yard, see what you can find.  Feel free to wear a costume, too!

When: Saturday, October 14 from 10 TO Noon

Where:  SAA’s Ellis House, 709 Country Way.

Who:   Open to those from 6-11 with a parent/adult assistant (We’ll be working with glue guns, so one on one help makes sense.)
