JOY AND WELL BEING IS THE RESULT OF HELPING EACH OTHER TO BE THE BEST ARTISTS WITHIN OURSELVES. WE BRING TOGETHER ART ENTHUSIASTS AND THE ARTIST TO PROMOTE, FUND AND GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF THE ARTS. THE SCITUATE ARTS ASSOCIATION KEEPS ARTS ALIVE! IN OURSELVES, EACH OTHER AND OUR COMMUNITY.

Historic Ellis-Bailey House

We have collectively raised over SAA has raised approximately $300,000 over the last 10 years, through fundraising events (our pre-Covid biannual House Tour, silent auctions, etc.); classes; and grant writing, which has yielded support from CPC and the MA Cultural Council, as well as Scituate Education Foundation, the Scituate Cultural Council, etc. to restore the historic Victorian Gothic house.  Renovations include aesthetic and safety improvements.    Some of our favorite projects have been restoring the house to its original pink color, and structural improvements.

The house has a fulfills a couple of purposes for us.  We teach art classes in what was originally a grand living room.  The bedrooms have also been transformed into studio spaces for local artists.

Front Street Gallery

This gallery located in the heart of Scituate Harbor, located at 124 Front Street.  This allows our local artists to make sales and display their art.

This is a juried co-operative Gallery of about twenty talented artists and artisans.

Come on by to see authentic local art and meet an artist!
